Why my intex filter pump will not come on?

Question: I bought a 18x4 intex easy set pool 2 years ago..... well went to put my weekly chemicals in the pool and the pump will not come on at all..... can anyone help me?

Answer: The same thing happened to me twice, it had a "weatherproof" housing on the plug that wasn't so weatherproof. I cut that plug off and replaced it with a 3 prong replacement from Lowe's. I also had a pump go bad and you can't work on them because they fuse the plastic
